It is hard to believe PMTS 2025 is right around the corner and we are already two months into 2025. The year has already brought many changes; a new administration, a return of brutal winters for those of us in the Northeast, and a manufacturing industry that looks to be full of opportunity in the new year. One thing remains the same however, Davenport’s pursuit of innovation!
This year marks another iteration of the Precision Machining Technology Show, hosted in Cleveland, Ohio (April 1st-3rd). While it has been a while since our last newsletter, the work has not slowed in our preparation for the show, or the year ahead. Many new R&D projects are on the docket for 2025, and some of our latest will be on full display at PMTS!
IEMCA NEXT 25 for the Davenport Model B
One such advancement is the IEMCA NEXT 25 bar loader, while we had the loader at PMTS in 2023, this year it will now be in operation on a Davenport Model B. The IEMCA NEXT 25 has proven to be extremely effective and efficient on the Davenport Hybrid and early testing shows that significant productivity enhancements can be realized for the Model B as well. This loader will allow you to run continuous production without stopping the machine to load bars, saving valuable production time.
Hybrid Advancements: Better Touchscreen and New ‘Hybration’ Macro
The Davenport Hybrid will take center stage once again at PMTS with new programming and control enhancements.
A new programming macro developed by our team of engineers can be used in tough to chip materials like stainless’s, aluminum, copper and titanium to minimize long stringy chips that can get caught up on tools and cause tool breakages or premature wear. This process termed “Hybration” will allow users to run these materials more effectively and provide a superior chip management solution. Keeping the work zone clear, tools pristine and further expanding production outputs. Our team will be demonstrating this programming macro at the booth throughout the show.
A new 21” touch screen display, provides a more user-friendly interface and simplistic page navigation. This enhancement will now come standard with all new Hybrid’s built by Davenport.
