Machine Condition Checklist Print
Article...
The Davenport Machine Condition Check List was developed as an evaluation tool to
allow your shop to be able to determine whether, and more importantly, when you’re
Davenport Machine will need to be repaired. It is also a useful tool for starting a
planned maintenance program within your plant.
This evaluation can be performed in a set amount of time that can be incorporated
periodically into your setup or production schedule. The check list was designed to be
used when your machine is in pre-setup (before cams, gears, spindles, and tools
are installed) to give you a thorough overview of the machine’s condition and capability.
If the check list is used properly, it will provide enough information for operator’s to
make informed decisions on the performance capabilities of their machines. They
will also be able to plan maintenance and repair operations ahead of time, and
purchase parts in advance of the scheduled down time.
