This attachment works in conjunction with the spindle stopping clutch’s (part # 2496-57-SA*).
The speed that your spindles are revolving is limited to 2500 rpm due to the fact that you are stopping the spindles.
This attachment comes standard with a 3450 rpm motor. This motor can be changed to accommodate higher and lower speeds. We also offer special gearing that can cover a wide range of speeds (6900 RPM maximum). The back drilling leg runs slightly faster than the main cross drilling spindle (1.16 : 1 ratio) and uses a right hand drill.
